One year ago today I remember standing on the basement stairs listening to Holly talking to her doctor on the phone discussing the results of her biopsy. I was pretty sure it was just going to be one of the many benign reasons that you may find a lump, but I got a feeling from the tone of the conversation it wasn't going to be good news.
That day marked the unexpected beginning of a long and difficult treatment path for Holly and our family. At points along the way I wasn't sure how we'd make it to the other side but with all of your love and support we managed to get through. Looking back now it feels like more than a year has past.
I wanted to reach out today to thank everyone again for all the love and support throughout Holly's treatments over the past year, I don't know how we would have made it through without it!
Thanks so much, Dan, for providing this way to stay in touch with your situation for those of us who live at a great distance. It has given us comfort, and helped us focus our prayers on the evolving real-life situation of Holly and your family. The courage and love all of you have shown over the last year has made a remarkable witness to all of us, and we thank you.
We have been blessed to know such amazing warriors. We will continue in the spirit of Ephesians 6:10-17.
Love to you all, Auntie Olga & Uncle Herb
God is good! Dan, it is amazing to hear how much you love your family! Your wife and your sons are blessed to have you as the husband and father in their lives. Enjoy each other for as long as you have together.
Wow it’s been a year already. I’m sure this past year has felt like 5 years for you. I can’t imagine the amount of stress and exhaustion you have all felt this last year. I understand the journey continues, but I’m so happy and relieved that this is the start of better days to come. We love you guys!!! 💕❤️
