We got Holly out of the hospital a little later than expected last night as she was struggling with nausea. Once we got her home and the boys got to say good night to her we got her settled as comfortably as possible in bed and I had a chance to review some of the recovery documentation sent home with her to make sure we were doing everything we needed to do to start recovery right, and grab some last minute supplies from the pharmacy.
Not being able to talk to any specialists face to face has added another element of difficulty, they shared some tips and advice with Holly before releasing her but you can only remember so much when you're full of pain killers and anesthetic post-surgery.
She got a good sleep last night after getting a little bit of food down and has been doing well today. Now we're trying to get into a bit of a routine dealing with the various tasks we'll be repeating for the first couple weeks of recovery.
Holly's Mom Lynn has been a great help, she's stayed over with us and has been taking care of the guys over the last couple of days. I definitely underestimated how challenging this would be and I'm not sure how we would have done this without her here. All of the food and gifts have been amazing as well, it relieves a lot of stress not having to worry about getting dinner ready among all the other activities.
Again, thank you all for your love and support.
I finally figured out how to use this new-to-me-technology, and now I don't know what to write.
Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? 😮 The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. 🌎 He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 🤔 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; 🦅 they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
